Hello, lovelies!
I had a special guest on my podcast this week, Vin Freda. It means so much to me that I was able to share his story.
We were able to acknowledge and celebrate his 1 year sobriety date and talk about his personal experience with drinking and quitting. His story is rare, and not many can go about it the way he did, but I am so proud of him for taking this step towards a healthier lifestyle.
We also talk about his Cystic Fibrosis (CF) diagnosis from age 1, how it has affected his life, and how he lived through COVID-19 having this disease.
If you have never heard of CF, it is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system due to the overproduction of thicker and stickier mucus that makes it difficult to breathe properly and produce enzymes in the pancreas that aid in digestion.
CF can be life threatening and there is no cure, but he and his brother, Paul, live with CF everyday and they are doing well!
