Pickled Red Onions

Tried and true pickled onion recipe AND only takes about 30 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Put vinegar, water, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, dissolving the sugar.
  2. Slice the onion into strips and put them in a mason jar (that has a lid).
  3. Pour the hot liquid mixture, once boiled, over the onions in the mason jar and leave on the counter to completely cool, about 30 minutes.
  4. Once it cools, put the lid on the jar and refrigerate up to a month, or enjoy immediately!
