Tried and true pickled onion recipe AND only takes about 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 small red onion
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
Directions:
- Put vinegar, water, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, dissolving the sugar.
- Slice the onion into strips and put them in a mason jar (that has a lid).
- Pour the hot liquid mixture, once boiled, over the onions in the mason jar and leave on the counter to completely cool, about 30 minutes.
- Once it cools, put the lid on the jar and refrigerate up to a month, or enjoy immediately!
