New Year, New Look

The website has had a facelift! I am getting so excited to continue sharing new content with you all.

I’m hoping this year brings clarity, dedication, patience, resilience, and a sense of overwhelming CALM!

I am also looking forward to sharing more recipes with you as I get creative in the kitchen and put spins on existing recipes I find all over the internet.

A lot of times, I’ll find a recipe that has an ingredient or two I know I don’t like or that I can’t eat, so I’ll omit or swap those ingredients so that I can enjoy the same foods my husband eats.

Over the last few years, I’ve struggled with food issues; vegan/vegetarian diets, elimination diets, times I didn’t care what I was putting into my body… but while being away from home for almost all of December, I realized how many restrictions I truly have when it comes to foods and eating.

Regardless of the reasons, I’m really striving to eat 3 meals a day (instead of just a light lunch and oversized dinner right before bed), drink more water and other liquids throughout the day, and eventually I’m going to get back to strength training.

I’m trying to take it one step at a time for now, and so far – the last week or so – I’ve stuck to 3 meals a day even when I’m not necessarily feeling hungry, and I’ve increased my fluid intake.

That’s not to say everyone should do that; it’s all about listening to your body, but I know my body needs more calories, more nutrients, and more hydration.
