I can’t believe we’re already a full week into September and this new book we’ve chosen.
In my kickoff post, I included the prompts below:
Things to think about while we’re in this first milestone of the book:
*Does this book hook you in right from the beginning or does it take a little while?
*Do you think it’s predictable or does it keep you guessing?
*Who is your favorite character?
*What do you like about them?
Personally, I wasn’t hooked right from the beginning, but I was hooked after finishing chapter 1. In comparison to other thrillers I’ve read, there have been some that hooked me from the first page, while others took a couple chapters, so I’d say this is better than most!
I haven’t been able to truly predict anything thus far. Usually, I’m able to pick up on where the book is headed, but this one kept me guessing. (Except when the snow came… I kinda knew what was coming.)
My favorite character as of now is Charlie. She speaks it like it is (relatable) and doesn’t think twice. She also is super supportive of the people she loves and she’s kind towards everyone. I love the light Eve paints her in.
Moving forward, I’m excited to hopefully see more out of Eve, but I’m also looking forward to hearing more ghost stories!
