Hi lovelies!
I wanted to talk more about all things wedding related 🙂
I recently had a bridal shower that my maid of honor (MOH) put together with the help of my other bridesmaids and the mothers and let me just say… I couldn’t have imagined a better bridal shower!!!
The whole shower was a tea party featuring my absolute favorite tea of all time, Paris. A bunch of people at the shower had never heard of it before, but once they tried it, they loved it, too! There were finger sandwiches, danishes, macaroons, pasta salad, baked ziti, homemade meatballs, fruit salad… the list goes on. We played some games, had lots of laughs, took a bunch of pictures, and Vin proposed to me AGAIN!
A little backstory: Vin and I got married January 25th, 2023 in a small ceremony at his parents’ house. We got married on paper for legal reasons, but always had the intention of having a reception. Fast forward 1 year, we’re doing all the things a typical couple would do before their wedding (bridal shower, wedding planning, cake tasting, etc.). I had mentioned to Vin that if we’re getting married a second time, in front of way more people, that I would also appreciate a second proposal because it would mean so much to me knowing he’s choosing to marry me again, given the chance. He proposed to me at the bridal shower in front of all our family and friends and had this speech he prepared for me (which was more than he said the first time around LOL) and it was the sweetest thing.
That bridal shower was in the top 5 best days of my life, number 1 being marrying Vin a year ago. All our people really came together to show their love for us and I’m so thankful, grateful, and blessed for them all.
In addition to the most amazing bridal shower, we’re finally pretty much done with wedding planning. We’ve figured out the amount of people that’ll be there, we’ve paid deposits for all our vendors, I’ve had calls with the photographer about timelines, I’m going to schedule calls with the DJ and videographers over the next couple weeks to discuss, and we’ve even created the seating chart already!
I can’t wait for this wedding. I know we’re going to have a ton of fun and although the planning has been stressful, I know I’m going to have feelings of wanting to relive the wedding. Well, I’m hopeful of that, anyway LOL
I don’t do well with drunk people, so we’ll see how long I last at my own wedding… I have a plan, though! And I know everything will work out exactly as it’s supposed to.
We are 53 days away from our wedding! Can’t wait to say “I do” to the love of my life for a second time! How lucky am I?!
