Inconsistency & Accountability

Good morning, lovelies!

I woke up this morning around 5am after a night of constant tossing and turning, awake every hour or so (if not more frequently), and I decided at 5am that I was sick of it so I got up and made coffee.

As I’m sitting here in the dark on my balcony with my cup of coffee, I’m reflecting on the last week, as well as on the last few years of my life.

When the world is quiet, it gives you this wonderful opportunity to reflect and really look inward.

This morning, I’m thinking about the fact that I’ve been inconsistent in writing blog posts – mostly because it’s been an insane week with moving my brother into school and all. But I also want to take the time, right now, to take accountability for not holding up my commitment to myself, and to this blog, that I would post during the weekdays. To make up for that, I am writing today 🙂

It’s important that we hold our accountable, as opposed to waiting for someone else to hold us accountable, for our actions, or lack thereof.

I have also been holding myself accountable in other ways. I’m doing the work within myself to become better, to heal, and to be able to practice what I preach. How can I ever expect people reading this blog or listening to my podcast to actually do the things I’m talking about if I’m not doing them myself?

I have started seeing a therapist again, I have been keeping up with my massages and tuning fork/reiki sessions with my massage therapist, and I’ll be doing a 12 week detox starting in about a month.

I am holding myself accountable, while also doing the things that I know will help heal me in the end, all while being able to share them with you.

Consistency is key. Inconsistency is not ideal, but it can happen. Just make sure that if it does, you hold yourself accountable and try to find a way to make up for it. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Until next time…

Talk soon, xoxo.
