Grad Party Fun

Good morning, beautiful people! Happy Monday.

I wanted to share with you how my weekend was 🙂 It was a lot of time spent with family and I couldn’t be more thankful.

To see family, it’s about a 2 hour drive from where I’m living. This trip was especially hard because it required lots of prep work, a whole bunch of planning, and more driving than I would’ve liked.

Friday afternoon, both cars were loaded with things – I’m talking gifts, food, luggage, the works! My brother graduated high school in June and Saturday was his graduation party that I put together.

On Friday, we drove to visit family that couldn’t make it to the party. We stayed up super late with them Friday night and spent the night there and when we woke up Saturday morning, we had to pack the cars again because the food needed to be kept cold and we also were picking stuff up that we needed for the party.

We finally got to our party destination, and as soon as we got there we started setting up. My dad and brother had already started by the time we got there, so the tents, tables, and chairs were all out and I just helped determine where they needed to go.

I had a lot of last minute running around I needed to do, and I thought I was going to be late to the party, but it all worked out and we were able to get everything set up on time.

My brother had a bunch of his friends over and we had family members come that I hadn’t seen in a long time. The entire party, start to finish, was amazing.

My brother deserves everything he got and MORE, but I’m so glad I was able to help put this party together for him before he and all his friends pack up for college.

I’m so proud of the man he is becoming and seeing the way he was at his graduation party just solidified it.

Love you always, Bud! Enjoy college and be safe in your new car 🙂
